Ivan joined the Caterpillar family at sixteen years old as an Apprentice Heavy Equipment Mechanic. He has also worked in Spare Parts and Equipment Sales. Ivan has over 25 years’ experience working with Cat products having previously been employed by two Cat dealers in Australia.
Ian has over 27 years of Caterpillar experience starting his career with Hastings Deering Australia as an Apprentice Heavy Equipment mechanic and quickly rising through the ranks into roles such as Technical Service Trainer, Product Support Co-ordinator, Area Training and Development Manager for PNG & Solomon Islands and Service Manager at Lihir.
Jim joined Carptrac in early 2015 after spending 5 years working with various mechanical contractors in the earthmoving and road building industry. He holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering as well as qualification in project management. Having shown exceptional dedication to his job he was promoted to Service Coordinator for the Service Department.
Dharmend has a long history with the Carpenters Group first joining in 2008 as the Busniess Development/Operations Manager for Carpenters Machinery & Marine. In 2010 Dharmend was promoted to the Commercial Manager of Carpenters Hardware, a role he held until 2011 when he was once again promoted and took up the role as National Operations Manager for Carpenters Tyres. In 2013 Dharmend joined Carptrac and took up the role of Cat Product Sales Representative.
Rajesh is one of Carptrac’s longest serving staff. Since joining Carptrac in 1988 Rajesh has amassed a wealth of Cat Spare Parts knowledge and is able to assist with any inquiry. Rajesh has completed several Caterpillar training courses including Cat Parts Pro, Inventory Management and Cat Reman parts.
John began his career in Electric Power Generation (EPG) in 1978 while serving in the US Navy He continued working in the EPG field and received the highest level of technical training in his field from Caterpillar in the USA. John worked in California, Montana and Alaska before coming to Fiji to work as an EPG Technician and Commissioning Analyst.
Prior to joining Carptrac in 2017 Luke worked for Australian Cat Dealer William Adams as a Field Service EPG Specialist maintaining, repairing and diagnosing faults on a large fleet of generators and stationary engines. Prior to working for William Adams Luke worked for AllightSykes (Agent for FG Wilson and Perkins engines) for 7 years carrying out electrical upfits, diagnosing faults, commissioning and building arrange of control panels for specific customers operations.
Aman holds a Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering a Certificate III in Electro technology Systems and Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy. He also holds a FEA wireman’s license. Prior to joining Carptrac Aman was employed by FSC and the FNU. Aman is well versed in all aspects of electrical faulting finding and repairs. Aman has been part of the Carptrac team since 2015.
Alex is a former Westrac Technician and completed his Apprenticeship at the Westrac Institute. Alex has vast experience carrying out major component overhauls from construction and agricultural machinery to major mining equipment. These repairs included engines, transmissions, drive systems, pumps, cylinders, control valves and undercarriages with repairs being carried out in workshops and remote field service locations. Alex also has extensive experience with multiple equipment brands coupled with a strong understanding of and an ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics and technical documents.
Jared began his Caterpillar career in early 2007 as an apprentice heavy equipment mechanic with Australia Cat dealer Hastings Deering. He has since worked in multiple Hastings Deering branches on the east coast of Australia, both as a fully qualified heavy equipment mechanic and hydraulic hose technician. Servicing heavy earthmoving and mining machinery across north eastern Australia for over a decade Jared also has experience in fixed plant engines and marine propulsion systems.
