John began his career in Electric Power Generation (EPG) in 1978 while serving in the US Navy He continued working in the EPG field and received the highest level of technical training in his field from Caterpillar in the USA. John worked in California, Montana and Alaska before coming to Fiji to work as an EPG Technician and Commissioning Analyst.
Netani holds a Trade Certificate in Fitting and Machining, achieved whilst serving his apprenticeship with the ministry of works.
In 2012 he joined Horeb Engineering as Fitter Machinist. In 2014 Netani began full time studies and graduated with a Trade Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from FNU, under a scholarship with AUSAID training scheme.
In 2016 he joined Carptrac on attachment for work experience, where he showed his eagerness to learn and apply himself in the heavy machinery trade. He impressed the team, and was confirmed in the role of Heavy Mobile Technician later in the same year. In the beginning of March 2018 he was promoted to the position of Service Coordinator and has shown great levels of commitment and dedication to his work, and quickly applied himself to his new role.
Dharmend has a long history with the Carpenters Group first joining in 2008 as the Busniess Development/Operations Manager for Carpenters Machinery & Marine. In 2010 Dharmend was promoted to the Commercial Manager of Carpenters Hardware, a role he held until 2011 when he was once again promoted and took up the role as National Operations Manager for Carpenters Tyres. In 2013 Dharmend joined Carptrac and took up the role of Cat Product Sales Representative.
National Parts Manager
Shiu began his career with Public Works Department in the heavy machinery section in 2006, before joining the automotive industry, where he gained 6 years of work experience.
He joined Carptrac in 2015 as our Inventory Supervisor. He was promoted to the position of National Parts Manager at the beginning of 2018. Reflecting Shiu’s commitment and dedication to his work, Shiu has completed many on-line Caterpillar Training courses where he received certificates of completion.
In March 2018 Shiu graduated from Cat Reman University in Mississippi, USA, with the Degree of Bachelor Of Science, with a major in Remanufactured Products.
Senior Product Support Sales Representative
Rajesh is one of Carptrac’s longest serving staff. Since joining Carptrac in 1988 Rajesh has amassed a wealth of Cat Spare Parts knowledge and is able to assist with any inquiry. Rajesh has completed several Caterpillar training courses including Cat Parts Pro, Inventory Management and Cat Reman parts.
Prior to joining Carptrac in 2017 Luke worked for Australian Cat Dealer William Adams as a Field Service EPG Specialist maintaining, repairing and diagnosing faults on a large fleet of generators and stationary engines. Prior to working for William Adams Luke worked for AllightSykes (Agent for FG Wilson and Perkins engines) for 7 years carrying out electrical upfits, diagnosing faults, commissioning and building arrange of control panels for specific customers operations.
Alex is a former Westrac Technician and completed his Apprenticeship at the Westrac Institute. Alex has vast experience carrying out major component overhauls from construction and agricultural machinery to major mining equipment. These repairs included engines, transmissions, drive systems, pumps, cylinders, control valves and undercarriages with repairs being carried out in workshops and remote field service locations. Alex also has extensive experience with multiple equipment brands coupled with a strong understanding of and an ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics and technical documents.
Prior to joining Carptrac in 2018 Arnoldy has worked for many Cat dealers across Asia and oil rigs as Heavy Duty Technician and Trainer. With vast experience and knowledge he specializes in oil, energy mining and heavy industrial equipment repair works. Arnoldy has worked for Trakindo Utama as Caterpillar technician where he served a Cat Technician for 3 years after moving onwards to work in a Canadian situated gold mining company based in Kyrgyztan Republic which was formerly governed by Soviet of USSR. He has also worked with few of Oil and Gas Service Companies such as Weatherford International, Inamco, System Exploration Indonesia Inc. and etc. With 27 years of field experience he joins Carptrac to provide his expertise and knowledge in assisting us with our clients.
